Note: This coin is one of two coins known with this obverse die.  The other, with reverse "IOVI STATORI" also would appear to be an unofficial issue.  It is in the collection of Dr. Otakar Fojt.

Note: This reverse is listed in RIC with a bust facing left only.  Also note the long caduceus with raised right hand.  This goes back to the earlier design from AD 246-247.

Note: This interesting error on the reverse appears to be somewhat common.  There are three known examples for both Philip I and his son.  One of my three specimens for Philip II can be seen at RSC 38V or an image containing all four Philip II errors and two of the Philip I errors can be viewed by clicking here.
